(Assuming you haven't already gone to wikipedia or one of the many fansites out there & looked everything up or watched the second season of the anime.)This arc concerns itself with the Sonozaki sisters Shion & Mion. It picks up a few years before the series normally begins (with Keichi not yet appearing) & we get to finally meet the possibly ill fated & mysterious Satoshi. We di. I think it's a very confusing way of presenting it to the reader -- I had to figure out which arcs were in chronological order, but the order is: Abducted by Demons Arc, Cotton Drifting Arc, Curse Killing Arc, Time Killing Arc, Eye Opening Arc, Atonement Arc, Massacre Arc, and finally, Festival Accompanying Arc.The Higurashi series is a mix of horror and mystery. The characters in the series are stuck in a time-loop, repeating the event. blaine williams said LOVE HIGURASHI!. Higurashi no naku koto in is one of my favorite anime/game series. My favorite arcs are the beyond midnight and time killing arcs, but above all I LOVE THE EYE OPENING ARC!!!!!! I watched the anime before reading the manga, so I was kind of scared the art style wouldn't fit with the amazing ness of the arc. Boy, was I wrong. I love the art, I love the story, this is hands down one of my favorite mangos ever.
