Consistently good series I read this book aloud to my 10 year old son who's interested in pets. We both enjoyed it. We liked the excitement of an emergency rescue and the mystery of trying to find Noodle's real owner. The book also gave us a chance to talk about the children's feelings - they were doing the right thing, but had some hidden feelings and secret hopes. One thing that I thought was kind of crazy was that the parents let the baby brother wear the same clothes for weeks on. Very good pet rescue book series jhbolis My daughter has almost the whole series(more are forthcoming). She loves animals and this series of books only helps to reinforce her feeling for all animals(especially dogs). The subject matter is age appropriate and easy to read.
