Vonnievranski said A Fun Adult Fairy Tale. It took a little while to become accustomed to the writing style, but then I remembered my Mom reading such prose to me several years ago and recognizing the fairy tale method of storytelling, I was able to really get into this story and found it hard to stop reading. I was sorry when I was finished because I think with most good books, you never want it to end, and you are floundering for another similar journey. I found this to be the case with THE SHOEMAKER.. Oh, My Gosh, This Was a Fascinating Tale! Despite only scanning the reviews before reading the book to avoid spoilers, I still wasn't quite sure what to expect from this story. To my delight, the Shoemaker: A Tale Of Love, Magic & Unnatural Acts" was an original, imaginative and utterly mesmerizing tale. This was my first time reading any of this author's work but it definitely will not be the last.As I've already stated, the plot/premises was original and imaginative. I would classify it as a paranormal romance. The character development is excellent, The characters are sufficiently three-dimensional and beli. Couldn't stop reading! I was randomly trying out book samples to read & ended up buying this book because I couldn't stop reading it.This is a dark tale with disturbing imagery and despicable villains with their greed, vanity, and ego. On the other hand it also shows us innocence, kindness, heroism and love. I believe this book has all the elements of a good fairy tale and good moral values. Good triumphs and evil is punished. A satisfying read!
