There is a good long chapter on stock screens; all the other chapters are fluff.If you want to know everything about . Classic on Stock Filtering But dated. Patrick L Irwin Practical but dated (Pub 2002) guide to screening stocks using automated filters to identify potential market outperformers. While the analysis seems worthwhile, I wish the book was more current and provided more insight based on the present economic situation we find ourselves. If you can get the book at a reasonable price it would be a worthwhile read. A better read would be "The Best Stocks to Buy in 2003" by Peter Sands. Although he does the filtering for you.
