james j. justice said not really for me. There are some great patterns in this book, don't get me wrong, but all the quilts shown are in the most "modern" and non holiday colors you will ever see. Once you get past the jarring color selection, you will have to imagine using your own choices instead. Haven't had time to actually make anything yet.. I just finished making the Christmas tree skirt and cannot over emphasize how well written and easy to follow the directions are for creating this complicated looking but easy to piece project! Cindy uses illustrations along with written text to give direction to the pattern. There was never a question what to do next! I have several other patterns ear-marked for future quiltsand not just with Christmas fabrics! This is a beautiful book!

The snowflake tree skirt and the modern wreath table topper are two of the standout projects for me, but modern fabric lovers will be hard pushed to resist any of the offerings here. There are gorgeous Christmas stockings and a tree skirt to make as well as many lovely quilts, which could also be worked in other fabrics - not just Christmas prints. Within the 14 projects in this book, there's a mixture of small, easy-to-make, gift-sized projects, and larger more ambitious ones, but on the whole, the piecing is not complicated. There are 14 quilted projects in this book; all made using fresh Christmas fabrics. The fabrics keep the projects modern but a lot of the patchwork methods are the kinds of things you'll probably have seen before: flying geese, strip-piecing, simple squares and rectangles, log cabin, chevrons and snowball blocks.
