DESCRIPTION:

"An Honest Portrait" according to Claudia L. Einertson. This book is so interesting because it is written by a child produced from a white aristocratic man who either forced himself on, or had relations with a black woman. At first, the man seems somewhat caring. However, as time goes by and the black mother dies, the gentleman no longer has interest in his son. This son looks white, so should've pass as black or white? Being black is harder, but what is the "right" thing . A great and informative read A great read. Thought it was going to be by a South African colored person and wasn't going to be bothered reading it! I was pleasantly surprised. The author has great insight into the subject of race, cities, countries and most importantly into people as individuals. I'm very curious to know how his adorable wife died,!!. "Not my type" according to Amazon Customer. Not too interested in these types of books. Only read it as per my class requirement.
