There were moments of crazy, moments of great sadness and turmoil culminating in redemption. Alcohol being readily available, cheap and socially acceptable affects so many. I his book, Jay honestly discusses his alcoholism and its impact on not only himself, but his immediate family and friends. This is not a made for t.v. tale. It's a true account of one man's struggles and how he overcame them. Highly recommended. "funny, terrifying and truthful" according to Erin Roche-wise. This book put the human side in to an alcoholics journey to sobriety. It was humbling, funny, terrifying and truthful. Its encouraging to others to know we are not alone in this battle. It takes an amazingly brave man to open up his whole being so greatly written and much appreciated. It helps those who are witnessing their loved ones fight the fight This book is a piece to be read by all. It helps those fighting the addiction. It helps those who are witnessing their loved ones fight the fight. Hell it could help someone make a promise to themselves that it's a road they never want to travel. Knowing the author is a real person living life after making it past his obstacles, makes it that much more encouraging to fight for what you want. Fight for what your worthy of.and never forget who was there and who accepted you during the hardest times. Loved the book. Read it once, shared it, and I'll most definitely read it again.
