An informative and easy reading book, if you're a fan of early American music, it should be on your bookshelf.. A bible for ragtime pieces. This old book is a perfect listeners' guide of ragtime music. It contains some synthetic historical introductions at the beginning of each chapter and then goes on describing almost every single ragtime piece ever written.It was a very good source for a thesis I made on ragtime and would recommend it especially for people who want to appreciate this music
