Sophie Duffy . Ruth Dugdall A fast-paced, exciting, adrenaline-fuelled and yet deeply philosophical look at youth, disillusionment and the search for true happiness. Andrew Blackman Luke Bitmead's narrative races along at break-neck speed, crackling with energy. I hope Luke's book takes off into the Heavens. Sensitive and compelling, Bitmead's swansong novel is a triumph. Jilly Cooper A well written, beautifully paced romantic thriller - my favourite of all Bitmead's novels. Deborah Wright With a deceptively light touch Luke Bitmead takes us into a world of gigolos and drug pushers, where love is at a price and pain is never far away. The Emperor said Decent and well written literary thriller. I enjoyed this book. It works as a thriller/crime novel and as a more literary travel/adventure novel as well.It is slightly `rough around the edges' and inconsistent but it is for the most part well written. I have read a few books set in Thailand and other South East Asian countries and they are often full of clunky, clumsy and stereotypical exposition but this wasn't the case with this book. It makes very good use of the setting.I found it to be warm hearted and enjoyable.
