Susan K. O'brien said Highly Recommend. Lovely book of so many interesting places now gone. Extremely well-researched. Also a great contribution to Minnesota history, as the state and particularly Minneapolis has a tendency to tear down and not save historic buildings and site (I am still mourning the loss of the old Leamington Hotel.) Highly recommend.. Great book with lots of great pictures jackie I loved this book. The pictures of the buildings and structures of Minnesota past were amazing to see. It is kind of sad too, it's too bad that I'll never see some of this great old architecture or some of the fun places that were included, but I am glad they are at least preserved in this book. I love looking at old pictures and imagining how things were back then and this book is full of them. Highly recommended!. vgs1895 said SO interesting--even for a non-Minnesotan. It also makes one want to look for the actual sites of many of . years ago and I've tried to immerse myself in the culture (which was totally foreign to me, having been raised in So Cal).
